Dates and Times

Friday November 17, 2006:
On-site check-in and meat inspection will take place from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The cook's team meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. A live concert will be held for cooks, their teams and families, judges, volunteers and staff at 7:30 p.m. Quiet time will begin at 11:00 p.m. and remain until 7:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
Saturday November 18, 2006:
Complimentary breakfast for all teams, volunteers and staff is from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. Judge's meeting will take place at 10:00 a.m. and the table captain's meeting will take place at 11:00 a.m. Turn in times for cooks are Chicken at 12:00, Pork Ribs at 12:30, Pork at 1:00, Beef Brisket at 1:30 and Sauces at 2:00. The awards ceremony will take place at 3:30 p.m.

Entertainment

  1. Live Concert: On Friday, November 17, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. INSERT BAND NAME HERE will take the stage for a live concert. This concert is open only to contestants participating in the cook-off, as well as their teams, volunteers and staff.

  3. People's Choice Contest: On Saturday, November 18, 2006 cooks will be preparing their finest versions of the barbecue. They are going to let you, the public, taste their delicacies. For only $5.00 you'll get a tasting plate. This plate gives you access to all participating barbecuer's grills. They'll let you sample till your hearts content. You'll also receive the right to vote on your favorite, with the winning team receiving 50% of the proceeds from plate purchases.
  4. Activities: On Saturday there will be a multitude of additional activities on-site for adults and children alike.

Vendor-Ville

The SOS fairground's building is strictly dedicated to our amazing vendors. Not only is there mouthwatering barbecue outside, but will be all kinds of food to choose from inside as well. There will be children's activities, sponsor booths, free goodies and much, much more.
